Baykok
Baykok: Harbinger of Death and Doom. The origin of this creature are not fully clear, but it appears he was once a hunter, trapped in winter, freezing to death in the wild. Seething with fear and rage he blamed the other tribe members as being the ones who were really to blame for his plight. With every bit of hatred in him the hunter vowed he would get revenge, and to this end he compelled his life-force from escaping his body. This kept him from truly dying and moving on, but it didn't keep him untouched. His appearance is that of massive skeleton wrapped extremely tightly with transparent skin. His eyes, depending on if he is stalking pray or not are alternately glowing red, or else simply black, bottomless voids in his collapsed and sunken eye sockets. The only thing that can give him away while he is stalking is the audible noise of his skin straining and stretching while his bony frame cracks and pops.

Baykok stalks his prey until the time is right, then fires magic, invisible arrows dipped in poison. Upon being struck the victim is put into an unconscious pseudo-sleep. He then produces a small silver knife, which he uses to make an incision so he can remove the liver, at which time he eats it, but he is not finished. The liver is replaced by the insertion of a stone. This is then sewn together with magic string, healing the wound and giving no indication that anything had occurred. The victim awakens in the morning with no memory of the brutality inflicted upon them. Often a victim will live for 3-5 days before the effects of lacking a liver strike, at which point the unfortunate one becomes terribly ill, followed by rapid death.
